"Fast & Furious 7" actor Tyrese Gibson revealed how he and his costars plan on honoring Paul Walker when filming resumes in Georgia this week.
In an interview with TooFab.com, Gibson explained how close the cast is and how deeply they've mourned Walker's death, who played Brian O'Conner in the "Fast & Furious" franchise.
"This is the only movie I ever worked on where we are all real close even after the movie is over," Gibson told TooFab. "It wasn't just losing a costar, he was family for real. That's why it took so long to recover."
Gibson added he hopes no one else connected to the "Fast & Furious" production "gets hurt" while filming and talked about the crew's plan for honoring Walker once they get on set.
"God's grace is all we have," he told TooFab. "Before we start filming we are going to have a strong prayer. That will be the start, before we film anything. That's what is needed for us to do 'Fast & Furious 7.'"
Gibson has been open about how deeply he has felt the loss of Walker. The actor first opened up about his costar's death on "The Arsenio Hall Show" back in January. He explained how a recent trip to Dubai with friend Will Smith helped him cope with the loss and how he found his "smile" again.
"I was just with him four days before it happened. We were on the set shooting and you know, that was a lot of shock and trauma for the family and all of us involved, because he's just such a nice guy," Gibson told Arsenio.
"I've never been depressed in my life, but I was very very sad and down, and it took me a minute to shake it," he added. "So I just turned 35 and on a spiritual level, I say God sends me emails on what to do, where to go or who to communicate or connect with. And he sent me an email to go to Dubai, and I went to Dubai. And that was the best thing that ever happened."
"Fast & Furious 7" is slated to hit theaters on April 10, 2015.
