"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" has officially been released for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, according to Xbox blogger Major Nelson.
The news comes shortly after Activision postponed the release of the title for the Xbox One indefinitely, according to Eurogamer.net.
"We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One," an Activision spokesperson told Eurogamer. "Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on 2nd May, 2014 as previously announced."
The news of the delay hit when a NeoGaf user reportedly noticed the Xbox One version of the title was taken down from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" international website. A statement from Activision was published by MCV suggesting the delay would affect the United States release as well.
"We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One," the Activision spokesperson told MCV. "When and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is TBD."
However, Major Nelson confirmed on his official website the title is available for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Check out the description for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" game below:
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2 takes place outside the events of the 2nd film in a unique story where Spider-Man discovers a larger threat to NYC that has turned the underworld upside down. Villains from the film and classic Marvel characters are woven together in a twisted web of adrenaline-fueled, web-slinging action that puts players on a collision course with an evil far beyond Spider-Man's reckoning."
