Daisy Ridley has officially joined the "Star Wars Episode 7" cast and many are scrambling to get the scoop on the "unknown" actress, who was pictured sitting in between Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford.
Ridley joins John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Mr. Selfridge), Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (Lord of The Rings), Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter) and Max von Sydow (Shutter Island) as franchise newcomers.
"We are so excited to finally share the cast of 'Star Wars: Episode VII.' It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud," director J.J. Abrams said in a statement.
Ridley is the only actress in the announced cast that hasn't been in a major feature film. However, that doesn't mean she isn't qualified to take on a major role in the franchise film. Check out the list below to learn a little more about the up-and-coming actress.
