Tori Spelling Divorce Rumors: Dean McDermott Reveals he Contemplated Suicide, Had a Nervous Breakdown (VIDEO)

In a recent episode of "True Tori," Dean McDermott revealed that he had a nervous breakdown and at one point contemplated suicide. McDermott and his wife Tori Spelling are currently in the middle of a marital crisis after the actor was caught cheating on his wife with a woman he met in Canada.

The couple is working through their marriage troubles on a new Lifetime docu-series. According to Radar Online, McDermott told a therapist that he thought about jumping out the window of his wife's office after news of his cheating scandal broke.

Instead "The Open Range" actor decided to get help and checked into a rehab facility to deal with alcohol abuse and addiction issues.

"We're sitting here in the room where I had my breakdown," McDermott told the therapist. "I've been looking at that crack in the window. I remember looking at that crack and while we were waiting for the EMTs, I was thinking, I've got a window of opportunity here to kick that out - 'cause it's already broken - and just dive out [of] it."

"I didn't do it but I mention it to show how far I'd gone down the rabbit hole - and that the only way out was for me to leave this earth," he added.

Spelling and the therapist were shocked to hear McDermott's confession and wanted to know if he was comfortable sharing it on camera. McDermott explained that he wanted to be honest and wanted to show viewers what he was going through during that time.

"The days leading up to my breakdown, I wanted to disappear. I just thought, this is it. You can't get out of this," McDermott said. "I just thought Tori deserves me to die. And I sit here today looking at [the crack in the window] and I know I will not take my life."

Since then the actor has gone through a transformation and wants to get his life back together. In an interview with US Weekly, Spelling admitted that she has no idea if the marriage can withstand the cheating scandal but said "it's not black and white."
