Shailene Woodley took on the role of Hazel in the film, "The Fault In Our Stars," which required her to chop off her long locks.
A video surfaced of an emotional Woodley getting her haircut for the film. Woodley had a hard time looking at herself in the mirror before the haircut is complete, but ended up falling in love with her new look. Check out the video and the official synopsis for "The Fault In Our Stars" below:
"Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort) are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them -- and us -- on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group. The Fault In Our Stars, based upon the number-one bestselling novel by John Green, explores the funny, thrilling and tragic business of being alive and in love."

"I lost a lot of muscle for The Fault in Our Stars-I lost my butt. I'm used to being athletic, and now I walk up stairs and my legs are aching," Woodley said. "I didn't exercise for three months. The one thing I did do was walk. I love it! I try to walk two hours a day."
Woodley explained she already had a naturally thin frame, which made her self-conscious growing up. However, she's grown to love her body despite her insecurities.
"My whole life I've been so self-conscious about being skinny. And just recently I don't care anymore," she told Marie Claire. "All insecurities are projected because of what you think others are saying about you, but they don't really matter at all. My only real insecurities in high school were having such long legs and thick hair - things I'm so very grateful for now."
"The Fault In Our Stars" is slated to hit theaters on June 6.
