'24: Live Another Day' Premiere: Kiefer Sutherland Claims Jack Bauer Is 'Even Harder Now Than He Ever Was' (TRAILER)

Kiefer Sutherland is back in for a rebooted season of the hit television drama, "24: Live Another Day."

Sioux City Journal reports the rebooted "24" takes place in London when an exiled Jack Bauer becomes the target of the CIA. Bauer reunites with his former flame Audrey (Kim Raver) and his hacker sidekick Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) in his attempt to save the world once again.

"He's very motivated," Sutherland told Sioux City Journal. "He has a very specific agenda and doesn't trust anybody. He does not have the same kind of loyalty he had the previous eight seasons. He's even harder now than he ever was."

"Jack Bauer has an unbelievably strong moral center," Sutherland said. "Everything he has done has been trying to accomplish a mission and that mission is about saving people. It's not about someone else's political agenda. In the third season, he took down a president because he was corrupt. In the first two seasons, he was desperately trying to save a president. What he's had to suffer is to make those terrible choices to allow 10 people to be sacrificed in order to save 100."

Rajskub explained to The Hollywood Reporter the show will please fans and new audiences alike, as, "24: Live Another Day" has the same feel, but gives viewers more action than ever before.

"I think it's hopefully going to improve the story because it's more jam-packed in the 12 rather than stretching it out," Rajskub said.

"It has the same pacing; it has the same moment-to-moment countdown," she added. "You know, fudging the time a little bit, going ahead, but the scripts have the same pulse and energy."

"24: Live Another Day" will premiere at 8 p.m. on FOX. You can check out the trailer for the upcoming episode in the video below.
