Lea Michele reportedly has a new boyfriend. According to TMZ, the "Glee" actress has been dating a guy named Matthew Paetz for the past several months. A source told the site that Michele met Paetz on the set of her music video, "On My Way" and the two hit it off.
Michele has been trying to keep the romance quiet. This is said to be her first boyfriend since the death of her "Glee" costar and love interest on and off the screen, Cory Monteith. The actor died of a drug overdose in a Vancouver hotel on July 13, 2013.
It's great that Michele is finally moving on but a source told TMZ that Paetz was, up until recently, a gigolo. Sources said that the 29-year-old worked for a site called Cowboys4Angels and used the alias Christian.
According to TMZ, the site offers women companionship and was also featured on Showtime's "Gigolo." Paetz's profile on Cowboys4Angels has since been removed but TMZ claims that it described him as a certified life coach, massage therapist and dating expert.
Paetz aka Christian reportedly charged $350 for an hour, $6,000 for a weekend and $17,500 for an entire week. A source close to the former male escort told TMZ that Paetz's last job was in April when he took a woman to the Stagecoach music festival, but since he started dating the "Louder" singer he's taken a break from his escort services.
Earlier this year, Michele opened up about Monteith and said that she always thinks about him.
"I somehow feel the insane love Cory and I had for each other morphed into this strength that I have right now," she told Teen Vogue. "There's just something about knowing he's watching everything I'm doing and feeling like I have to do everything now not just for me but for him. I also have a safety net below me - if I fall or if it's too much, my friends and family will be there to catch me."
According to the Daily Mail, the 26-year-old also told the magazine that she wasn't ready to date yet.
"I'm focusing on my job and taking care of myself. Maybe in a little while I'll be like, 'What do I want?' But I'm not quite there yet," Michele said.
