The latest "Gotham" teaser takes a look at three villains that will be featured in the upcoming series.
Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) were featured in the trailer. Bicondova along with Bruce Wayne himself, David Mazouz, recently dished about their characters to The TV Addict in the upcoming pilot set to air on FOX.
"Let's put it this way: what 13-year old boy does not want to be Batman? Not that I'm playing Batman, but still," Mazouz said. "My first reaction when I found out that I got the role was: 'Oh my gosh, this is the best thing to ever happen to me.This is awesome.' I told all my friends, 'I am Batman.'"
"Then a few days later, it hit me, 'Oh my god, this is going to be stressful,'" he continued. "When you are playing such an iconic role, there's always people saying, 'You should be doing it like this. 'But after we did the pilot, I got a lot more comfortable with the role."
The young Bruce Wayne eventually finds a friend in Selina Kyle soon after he loses his parents. Bicondova explained Selina doesn't know she's Catwoman in the series, but isn't necessarily a bad guy. Selina steals to survive, not out of spite. She eventually runs into Bruce and they connect on a deeper level.
"I think the fact that neither of them have parents," Bicondova told TV Addict, referring to why her character is drawn to Bruce. "She hasn't had a lot of similarities with people because she's lived on the streets and on her own pretty much her whole life. So she sees him like a kindred spirit. I think that is what stimulates their friendship."
"Gotham" is set to premiere on Fox this fall.
