George Lucas has decided on the new home for his new "Star Wars" museum, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Lucas, the creator of the "Star Wars" franchise, has decided to move the museum to Chicago, Illinois. The project has reportedly been searching for a city since San Francisco rejected a $700 million proposal by Lucas.
"George Lucas has revolutionized the art of storytelling over the last four decades," Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a statement to EW, "and we are honored to be the recipient of this incredible legacy investment that will allow everyone to learn about and experience narrative arts."
In other "Star Wars" news, Lucasfilm's latest film production could be facing a major delay. Lead actor Harrison Ford suffered a broken leg in an accident while filming on Pinewood Studios on June 12
BBC reports Ford's publicist Ina Treciokas has confirmed the actor is recovering from surgery on his left leg.
"[Ford's] surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly," Treciokas said in a statement. "He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."
However, Jedi News reports source claimed the 71-year-old actor could be out of the production for as much as six months.
"We're hearing via a number of sources that production on Episode VII could be delayed due to the severe nature of Harrison Ford's leg injury," Jedi News reports.
"We understand a meeting was called this morning at Pinewood to discuss the situation, but the early word is that production of the film could be pushed back by a substantial amount of time."
"Star Wars Episdoe 7" will star Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. Original cast members Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker are also reprising their roles in the franchise.
"Star Wars Episode 7" is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
