Badass Digest reports Ben Affleck's Batman is a mysterious “urban legend” that no one has ever seen. He is 50-years-old at this point and has been through the wire.
His alleged Batcave also contains a shrine containing Robin's costume, presumably honoring his memory in wake of his death. The new Batman is also much “quieter” and isn’t involved in huge battles. The site also dished about the history behind Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.
“My sources tell me that Wonder Woman has also been in operation for some time before ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ begins, and her activities have been just as secretive as Batman's. Her activities were badass as well... but in a very different, and unexpected, way,” Badass Digest reports.
Director Zack Snyder has remained quiet about how he is adapting the DC stories to the big screen, DC Entertainment’s co-publisher Jim Lee recently told Variety he is confident “Batman vs. Superman” will please fans.
“Zack is a comicbook fan and draws inspiration from the comics,” Lee said. “He doesn’t need to be given advice. He’s a talented filmmaker. He’s a super stylized visualist. He’ll do stuff no one has ever done with the caped crusader and blow everyone away. He knows how to take the sensibility of comicbooks and do what other filmmakers don’t know how to do.”
“I know a lot of filmmakers will look at the source material and what we capture on paper and translate that entirely onto film, but it shouldn’t be a literal translation of the comicbooks themselves,” Lee added later in the interview. “We work in a medium that has no end. A film should have a beginning, middle and end and resolution until the next one comes out. We’re telling a story every single month. They’re different sensibilities.”
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
