Mayim Bialik Slams 'Frozen', Claims Disney Film Promotes 'Male-Bashing' Instead Of 'Feminism'

Mayim Bialik is moving away from her issues with Ariana Grande to focus on why she hates Disney’s “Frozen.”

Bialik’s latest blog post picked apart the popular film, claiming there were issues with the plot, male bashing and more. Bialik and her sons weren’t a fan of the message the film sent.

“Sure, it’s sort of hidden, but the search for a man/love/Prince is still the reigning plot line in the movie, as it is with pretty much all movies for young people which are animated,” Bialik wrote.

“The sister’s desire to marry this guy she just met, and the other sister getting mad at her–we still have a plot about the identification of a woman being based on her desire and search to meet a man.”

Bialik claimed she took issue with plot because it was aimed towards children who shouldn’t be thinking about finding their soul mates at a young age. She doesn’t believe “finding a man” should be used a plot device in children’s films.

“Disney classics were all about this and look where it’s gotten us!” Bialik wrote. “Naked billboards of singers and women still not paid equal pay for equal work and ridiculous standards of beauty and body image and campaigns such as ‘Why I Don’t Need Feminism’ and tons of other things proving we still have a ways to go.”

The “Big Bang Theory” actress claimed the film portrays males as “nasty scheming conniving men” when Anna’s original love interest turns out to be the villain. Bialik claimed the lesson for Anna is she can’t trust men.

“I know, you’re confused by me,” the actress wrote. “Yeah, take a number. First I claim to be a feminist and now I claim to be against male-bashing. That’s because feminism doesn’t equal male-bashing. And this movie isn’t empowering because it shows that a Prince is a jerk and should not have been trusted. That’s weird too. It’s just confusing.”
