Ben Affleck is excited to see the large amount of hype around Zack Snyder’s “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” production.
During an interview with the Boston Globe, Affleck explained he couldn’t dish details about the film, but he described how he feels when people approach him with curiosity about the DC project.
“I can tell you that I’m very excited and it’s very exciting,” Affleck, who plays Bruce Wayne in the film, told the Globe. “I can tell you that in my entire career, I haven’t had so many people come up to me and say how much they’re looking forward to the movie.
“Naturally, that’s a lot of pressure, but I love the script, I love the director, I love the studio. I’m very much looking forward to it, but it’s two years away so it probably doesn’t bear talking about anymore.”
Speaking of the script, Affleck previously revealed to The Sunday Times how he connects to his Batman role. The “Gone Girl” star admitted he can relate to the caped vigilante’s rage. The actor claimed understanding Batman’s emotions is important when trying to play the superhero on the big screen.
"I think it’s a necessity, historically, in the tradition of these films," the actor said, referring to the importance of connecting emotionally with Batman's dark emotions. "For me, anger is so deeply buried and contained that when it does kind of come out, it comes out in stronger bursts.
“I tend to be respectful, polite, get along, put up with, put up with, put up with … then, when it finally emerges, it’s not something I have a ton of control over. I’m not gonna go into a Wolverine berserker rage, but I do have a, I do…”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
