‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Adds Sexy Maid From ‘American Horror Story’ in Mysterious Role

AMC is reportedly adding another new face to its fifth season of "The Walking Dead." According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Alexandra Breckenridge will join the cast but details on her character are being kept under wraps. Breckenridge is probably most known for playing the role of the sexy young maid on the first season of "American Horror Story."

On "The Walking Dead" Breckinridge won't be playing the seductive help but will instead play a character named "Samantha," described as an attractive, smart and charming woman with a vulnerable side. She is also said to be a mother with a "bohemian spirit," claims THR.

"Sources tell THR that the actress... will recur in season five with an option to be promoted to a series regular in season six," the site wrote.

As usual, AMC refused to comment on or confirm Breckinridge's involvement but told THR that the character's name and description could be a placeholder. Fans should get ready for even more casting information leaked/revealed, since both creator Robert Kirkman and showrunner Scott Gimple have previously said that a bunch of new characters will be added.

Last month, Gimple told Entertainment Weekly that there will be some new characters from Kirkman's comic books popping up this season.

"We are going to see a bunch of new characters, people of significance to the show, even during the first half of the season. Yes, some people from [the comics], a bunch of people not from," Gimple said. "And yeah, they're gonna be super significant. There's that. Oh, and there might be a bleeped-out swear world."

Breckinridge now joins Seth Gilliam ("The Wire"), who was cast as Father Gabriel Stokes, and Tyler James Williams ("Everybody Hates Chris)", who plays a guy named "Noah." According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC is still casting for the role of "Donna," a well-respected journalist who sometimes has witty, smart-ass comebacks.

Reportedly, "Scandal" actress Kate Burton has been rumored to land the role.
