Charlie Sheen Hospitalized: Paramedics Rush To Actor's Home

At 11 p.m. PT, a Los Angeles fire department received a call from someone in Charlie Sheen's home, according to TMZ, TMZ noted the odd fact that Sheen called the fire department and not 911, which records calls.

Sheen was treated on site by medical personnel and then taken to a Los Angeles emergency room, according to People, for treatment of a "severe case of food poisoning," Sheen's publicist Jeff Ballard said. "It was clams, bad clams," Ballard added. "Nothing too exciting."

Sheen had a seafood pasta dinner delivered to his home on Monday night and started "feeling sick" after a few hours had passed.

"Just to be on the safe side, he went to the hospital," Sheen's representative said, according to People. "They checked him out, hydrated him and sent him on his way. He was back home in bed 90 minutes later."

In 2011, Sheen was taken to the hospital during his infamous #winning meltdown, which was reported by Gossip Cop as a hernia. That incident followed a wild night at New York's Plaza Hotel and the ensuing hospitalization for a severe "allergic reaction."

The 49-year-old former "Two and a Half Men" star appears to be feeling hale and even took a picture with first responders. He was last seen "outside swimming in his pool," according to People.
