Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has torn his MCL and is considered week to week for the team's final two games, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

McCoy suffered the injury in a loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday 35-25 and went down holding his knee after catching a check-down pass from quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Reports regarding McCoy's injury have differed, as some have stated that the Bills running back suffered an MCL sprain and is in doubt to play against the Cowboys this weekend, according to NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport.

The Bills have been eliminated from the playoffs following Sunday's loss, and with McCoy under contract until the 2019 season, the Bills could choose to play it safe with their star running back and rest him for the final two games. Although that may seem the smart decision, the Bills are reportedly going to play him again this season and have no plans to shut him down for the year, according to NFL Network reporter Rand Getlin.

Mike Gillislee filled in for McCoy on Sunday against the Redskins and stepped up rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown on just four carries. The Bills have not made the playoffs since 1999, and with a reported divide between the front office and the coaching staff, no solutions for the issues in Buffalo look to be coming soon. It's unclear if McCoy will be able to play against the Cowboys this Sunday, and if he can't go expect Gillislee and Karlos Williams to see plenty of carries.
