Earlier this month, rumors surfaced that Rachel McAdams and her "True Detective" co-star, Taylor Kitsch were romantically involved. The actress opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the report and called the claim "weird."
"It's funny that the Internet likes to proclaim," McAdams told ET at Monday's "Southpaw" junket. "(It's the) weird, weird, bizarre, surreal side of it, but I guess you just have to laugh at it at a certain point," said McAdams. "I'm like, 'Who are these people? How did they confirm that?' I find it really confusing, but yeah, it's an odd little thing."
McAdams said just because a man and a woman are photographed together, doesn't necessarily mean they're a couple. McAdams and Kitsch were first linked on June 2, when the pair was spotted on a dinner date together in West Hollywood, reported Us Weekly. However, McAdams did not give a straight answer when it came to her possible new relationship with Kitsch, and laughed off reports that the two are definitely an item.
McAdams is no stranger to high profile relationships. The actress previously dated fellow Canadian actor Ryan Gosling after meeting on the set of "The Notebook" in 2004, International Business Times reported.
