For the past week and a half, ABC and "Dancing With The Stars" have been announcing some of the contestants for the upcoming season and Tuesday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the ninth celebrity to join "DWTS" for season 21 has been announced! Turns out Gary Busey will be joining Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza, Nick Carter, Hayes Grier, Alexa & Carlos PenaVega, Andy Grammer and Chaka Khan on the dance floor.
"Tonight I have the distinct honor of revealing the biggest name of all," Kimmel said. "So without further adieu, please welcome contestant number nine. Ladies and gentleman, Mr. Gary Busey!"
The 71-year-old actor then arrived on set riding a white horse as he said, "I am so proud to be here with you announcing this incredible mile-changing thing." Kimmel then went on to say how honored he is to have him on this show, asking him what made him decide to do it after being asked so many times in the past, to which Busey jokingly replied, "I didn't have anything else to do." He then asked the audience to "pick up their telephones" and vote for him following his dances as he made a grand exit off of the set on his horse. "Well, it's going to be a great season, folks," Kimmel said while laughing.
Tomorrow morning, "DWTS" will be making their official cast reveal on "Good Morning America" as they always do prior to the season premiere. There will be thirteen stars competing on this season, so it will still be exciting to watch and find out the other four! Also, they will be revealing which pro dancer each of these celebs will be paired up with.
Watch the stars compete for the Mirrorball trophy when "DWTS" airs Monday Sept. 14 on ABC.
