'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' SNEAK PEEK: Whitney Attempts To Conquer A 5K Race (VIDEO)

On the upcoming episode of TLC's "My Big Fat Fabulous Life," reality star Whitney Thore faces yet another challenge. She attempts to conquer a 5k race as part of her journey to a living a healthier lifestyle, but she struggles making it past the first mile, the Wrap reported.

"People might think that walking a 5K isn't difficult at all. And for an average guy who's like, I don't know, 5 (feet) 10 (inches), under 200 pounds, it might not be difficult," she explains in her on-camera interview. "But if you took that same person and then strapped 200 pounds to their shoulders, I think that person would have a hard time being able to finish. And that's the position I'm in now."

Thore is seen dressed as a penguin in the theme for the 5k walk/run with her father Glenn by her side for support. He offers her words of encouragement and gives her tips on how to conserve her energy so that she make it to the finish line. But at just about a quarter of a mile into the 3.1 mile race, Thore begins to face physical limitations.

She starts to complain about the pain she feels in the arches of her feet and explains to her father that she's only walked as far as one mile in the past three years. But she finds motivation in her family and friends at the finish line, holding signs and cheering her on.

"Something came over me and I'm still in the worse pain I've ever felt in my life but some feeling came over me," she said tearing up, "and I just kept going and going and I thought to myself 'now I have a goal, I'm gonna finish this thing.'"
