Kate Winslet Doesn't Want Her Lancôme Photos Retouched (VIDEO)

English film star Kate Winslet is the new face of luxury beauty brand Lancôme, and she negotiated a deal with parent company L'Oréal that stated her photos won't be retouched, as requested. The "Steve Jobs" star has been very outspoken in the past about body-positive issues, and she opened up to E! News' about why she's taking a stand against photoshopped images.

"I can only ever speak for myself and I can only ever do things that are important to me," the 40-year-old actress told E! News, "and it's a hope that other people might follow suit but it does feel important to me cause I do think we have a responsibility to the younger generation of women."

The Oscar Award-winning actress joins the ranks of fellow actresses Julia Roberts, Lupita Nyong'o and Penélope Cruz as the ambassadresses of Lancôme's high-end make up brand. Winslet cited her decision to forgo retouching on the photos for her ad campaign as a way to be a more realistic role model for younger girls who look to magazines and celebrities for role models.

"I would always want to be telling the truth about who I am to that generation because they've got to have strong leaders, you know?" the mom of three said. "We're all responsible for raising strong young women, so these are things that are important to me."
