GTA 5 iFruit App Is Now Available For Android-Powered Smartphones

Android users can now breathe a sigh of relief. No longer will they be locked out of some exciting features in Rockstar Games' latest big-ticket title "Grand Theft Auto: V." The iFruit smartphone application has now finally been made available on the Google Play Store for all Android devices.

Announced a few weeks ago, the iFruit app has only been available for iOS devices up until this point. IGN reports that, in addition to all the GTA information that is pushed through to the app, there are two interactive features in Fruit as well.

First the app will allow Android users to create their own ultimate vehicle in the game, from paint jobs, window tints, smoke colors, wheels, hoods and spoilers that will be manufactured and made available to you the next time you log in. You could design the car of your dreams on your lunch break and have it waiting for you in your garage when you get home and turn on your console. You can also use the app to create license plates for use in GTA V and GTA Online.

Another feature of the iFruit app is, as IGN describes it, a "Tamagotchi-esque gameplay" in which you remotely look after Franklin's dog Chop. You'll be able to pet and feed the dog as well as play games and teach him some tricks. All of these things will amount to unlocks of rewards and can keep the dog responsive and more well-trained in the game. You can even earn credits to purchase him a bespoked collar.

Users can check out the iFruit functions on the App Store or the Google Play Store for free. Rockstar Games has announced that it plans on giving users a $500,000 in-game rebate to compensate for early glitches. The payments will be made in two installments of $250,000 over the next few weeks. This might be the perfect time to design your dream car and use the money to make it a reality.
