Happy early Christmas to "Good Morning America" chief meteorologist Ginger Zee and husband NBC correspondent Ben Aaron. The couple announced the arrival of their first child together, a son named Adrian Benjamin, on social media Sunday.
"He's here! Adrian Benjamin. We are all doing great and inundated with love," the 34-year-old ABC chief meteorologist captioned an Instagram photo with her hubby cradling their newest bundle of joy.
"Meet my little love: Adrian Benjamin!" she also wrote on Twitter.
Adrian Benjamin was born at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday in New York City, the "Good Morning America" website announced. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
The arrival of her newborn comes two days after Zee made her final appearance on "GMA" before beginning her much deserved maternity leave. Her morning co-hosts toasted to her pregnancy with sparkling cider and presented her with cupcakes and a diaper cake.
"I feel like I'm lucky because I've had a really good pregnancy, everyone has been so supportive," she explained on the show. "Thanks to you guys...and now I'm going to get a little emotional. Oh, my god. I'm so nervous. I'm staying up at night every once in a while...that's been the hardest part. I feel him move and I'm like there's a real human in here. This is happening."
In anticipation of her due date, the TV personality shared a picture of the baby's nursery last week along with a link to her update pregnancy blog. She captioned that post, "Sat in the nursery today just dreaming. Can't believe he will be here in less than two weeks! #baby #nursery #kidsbooks."
Zee and Aaron, who tied the knot while overlooking Lake Michigan back in July 2014, announced that they were first expecting in June and revealed the sex of their baby during a segment of "GMA" in July.
