Caitlyn Jenner Settles First Lawsuit With Driver Involved In Fatal Car Crash

Caitlyn Jenner has settled one lawsuit with a woman who was involved in the fatal car accident that happened in February on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Calif. Jessica Steindorff, who was driving a Prius at the time of the four-car collision, asked Jenner for compensatory and punitive damages, according to People.

Back in February, Jenner crashed her Cadillac Escalade into a Lexus that Kim Howe was driving. Howe was killed after the vehicle was pushed into oncoming traffic as result of the collision. Officials determined that Howe had hit her break, which caused Jenner to crash into her, after the Prius driven by Steindorff stopped in front of her for unknown reasons.

In the suit, Steindorff claimed that she suffered loss of wages and earning capacity as a result of the crash, and was seeking compensation for hospital and medical expenses. Jenner's insurance company will cover the settlement, according to TMZ.

Earlier this year, Steindorff slammed Jenner and the "tabloid society" in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I would hope that someone who seems to greatly value the importance of human existence would be more sensitive to the fact that she ended another person's life," she said.

There are still two other lawsuits against Jenner as result of the crash. The driver and passengers of the Hummer involved are suing Jenner as are the two adult stepchildren of the late Howe.
