"Call of Duty" has understood why its games are so popular ever since the ad campaign from "Call of Duty: Black Ops" debuted showing people that "There is a soldier in all of us." Now, Activision is repeating that sentiment with the help of the star power of actress Megan Fox in a new TV commercial for the upcoming title "Call of Duty: Ghosts."
Directed by Hollywood filmmaker James Mangold, the live-action trailer for the new game shows the actress giving sniper support to a group of average-looking guys, meant to depict fans of the game rising to the real world occasion in the ruins of Las Vegas. Title "The Epic Night Out" the high-concept and high-budget trailer features the four friends as they explore different landscapes in the Call of Duty world.
According to DailyMail, the trailer is another part of the "there's a soldier in all of us," ad campaign. When the friends burst out of a building while taking heavy fire, Fox allows them to escape to her rooftop by covering them with a sniper rifle. One of the four goes to hit on her by asking how she is doing when she moves him out of the way and destroys a hunter-killer drone with a pistol.
"Great. Thanks for asking," she answers.
The four games then jump of the roof of the building and rappe down the side among heavy gunfire and explosions. They fall and then find themselves in another popular theater of fighting that will be featured in the game, outer space. They fire at other space walkers before finding themselves in a high speed chase through the snow.
Fox joins Robert Downey Jr. Jimmy Kimmel, Sam Worthington, Jonah Hill and Kobe Bryant on the list of actors who have lent themselves to the Call of Duty advertising universe.
