Actor Val Kilmer was spotted out and about in London over the weekend after denying reports that he underwent surgery to remove a throat tumor, People reported. The "Batman Forever" star was photographed without his breathing device as he ran errands on Saturday, and seemed as if he was in good health.
The 56-year-old actor looked sharp in a crisp, white button-down shirt, black blazer and gray slacks in photos obtained by People, with his long, graying hair carelessly slicked back. In the photos, a small scar could be seen in the center of his neck, which is where he reportedly once had a tracheotomy tube.
Kilmer took to social media last October to address rumors regarding his health, according to the Huffington Post, but he never addressed his tracheotomy or his breathing tube.
"Thank you all for your love and support," the "Top Gun" actor wrote in a Facebook post then. "There's a rumor I'm unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue. I was in to verify I have no tumor or infection of any kind which was verified by the very caring experts at UCLA."
He was spotted with what seemed like a breathing aid around his neck in December, according to People, and he had been recently photographed with bandannas and scarves around his neck which added fuel to the rumors.
But he's been actively social in the last two months and has been documenting his various outings on his official Facebook page. Last week, Kilmer shared a selfie with his artist friend Tracey Emin who attended a performance of fellow actor and "Harry Potter" star Ralph Fiennes' new play. The small scar seen in previous photos is also visible in the shot Kilmer uploaded to Facebook.
