Doctors has not cleared Chris Bosh to play for the Miami Heat this season, putting his future basketball career bleak while sparking speculations that he will try to go to Chicago Bulls.
This after doctors still find blood clotting in his lungs, according to Miami Herald. This failed physical exam has thwarted his attempt to come back to court
Furthermore, Miami Heat President Pat Riley stated that Bosh career in the Heat is over after the failed physical exam.
"I think Chris is still open-minded. But we are not working toward his return," Riley told reporters in his office at American Airlines Arena as reported by Sun Sentinel.
"We feel that, based on the last exam, that his Heat career is probably over."
Chris Bosh was admitted to hospital after 2015 All-Star Game in February, and doctors found a blood clots in his lung. He was suggested to undergo treatment and after months, he returned to court in October 2015 to play in the 2015-2016 season.
He had a calf injury in February 2016, and upon examination, doctor discovered that the blood clot in his lung has reached to his leg. He must rest for the rest of the season. The Miami Heat and its doctors pressed him to retire but he refused.
Meanwhile SB Nation reported that waiving Bosh will be the best thing for either the player or Miami Heat. Bosh is still under contract for three more years with Heat and as his career in Miami is over. He can agree to a lower payout to be traded to other team. As for Heat, letting Bosh go will remove $52.1 million from his future salaries off-the books.
Earlier this month, Bosh looked optimistic as he posted his basketball workout video and stated his intention to return to court. But after the failed examination, all future seem bleak for him. Some speculated that he will try to contact Chicago Bulls to continue his career there.
