"Holby City" actress Lauren Lyle has officially joined the cast of "Outlander" Season 3. There are also rumors circulating online that Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are already in an official relationship. Also, the official plot summary of the premiere episode has been released.
"Holby City" alum Lauren Lyle has officially landed a pivotal role in "Outlander" Season 3. The 18-year old British actress will portray the role of Marsali.
Marsali happens to be Laoghaire MacKenzie (Nell Hudson) daughter. She has a high-spirited character who is a rebel and a romantic by heart, TV Line reports.
Aside from that, rumors have surfaced that Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are officially dating for quite some time now. According to reports, the lead actors of "Outlander" were seen being flirty on set. They were also spotted leaving the set in between breaks.
As for the official plot synopsis of the premiere episode of "Outlander" Season 3, Den of Geek notes, "Now pregnant, Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) struggles with the fallout of her sudden reappearance and its effect on her marriage to her first husband, Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies).
Meanwhile, in the 18th century, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) suffers from the aftermath of his doomed last stand at the historic battle of Culloden, as well as the loss of Claire. As the years pass, Jamie and Claire attempt to make a life apart from one another, each haunted by the memory of their lost love."
It further reveals that the growing chance Claire can come back to Jamie in the past brings a ray of hope into Claire's heart and that also includes a new doubt. Truly apart by continents and centuries, Claire and Jamie must be able to look for a way to get back to each other.
