Five people, including the parents and grandparents of Miya Tucker have been arrested, as the desperate search for the missing 8-month-old continues.

Miya, of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, has not been seen by family since the end of April, according to Kentucky State Police.

Police opened a missing child's investigation Thursday after troopers failed to locate Miya during a welfare check. Her parents, Tesla Tucker, 29, and Cage C. Rudd, 30, were arrested and each charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and abandonment of a minor.

Tucker and Rudd were later accused of child abuse and more drug-related charges, according to police, WLKY-TV reported.

Since then, Miya's grandfather, Ricky Smith, 56, has also been accused of child abuse, and drugs and weapons charges.

At the same time, the infant's grandmother, Billie Rudd Smith, 49, was arrested on a domestic violence warrant, and an unrelated man, Timothy Roach, 37, was taken into custody on drug allegations in Smith's driveway, according to police.

Miya has brown hair and green eyes. She was last suspected to be in the care of her parents, said police.
