Selena Gomez getting back together with troubled popstar Justin Bieber allegedly has her gamily concerned about her well-being, according to PEOPLE magazine.
Bieber, 20, has made headlines lately over his bad behavior during a legal deposition relating to his bodyguard's alleged attack on paparazzi. However, Gomez doesn't seem to be put off by Bieber's latest actions and keeps going back for more.
"Selena has chosen Justin over her family in the past," a source told PEOPLE. "They are disappointed about that." The insider added, "Her father has told her he doesn't like her spending time with him."
Gomez is also allegedly willing to lose friendships in order to be with Bieber. US Weekly reports Gomez's best friend Taylor Swift has been keeping her distance because she doesn't like Bieber.
However, the most recent reunion has caused a huge rift in their friendship, allegedly forcing Swift to cut ties with Gomez as long as she is with Bieber. Swift is reportedly "disgusted" by Gomez's reunion with the popstar.
According to US, Swift began distancing herself from Gomez after she found out her friend was dating Ed Sheeran to make Bieber jealous.
"After Selena pulled that move, Taylor started distancing herself," a source told US.
Bieber also seems to be burning bridges with his own pals. According to Hollywood Life, Bieber's mentor Usher is "embarrassed" by the popstar's recent behavior and is dishing out "tough love."
"Usher feels like the person that Justin has become is a complete embarrassment," an insider revealed to Hollywood Life. "Usher is certainly a mentor to Justin but he feels that Justin has gone off the rails and hasn't listened to his advice. Usher is now taking things tot he point that Justin has to live and learn. Tough love is the remedy he thinks Justin needs."
"He can't really reason with Justin over his actions," the source added. "He has tried, but overall [he] has his own career to worry about. Usher makes money off of Justin, which is true, but Usher also has enough money that Justin isn't his main focus either."
