Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been in a medically induced coma for two weeks. On Jan. 31, the 21-year-old was found face down in a filled bathtub and rushed to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Ga. She has since been transferred to Emory Hospital in Atlanta.
Despite reports earlier this week that Bobbi Kristina was "opening her eyes," TMZ claims that the situation is now dire. Family sources told the site that Bobbi Kristina's organs are reportedly beginning to shut down and there's nothing else left to do.
"We're told several organs are already shutting down and the family now fully understands," TMZ reported.
However, the source said Bobby Brown is still adamant that he won't take his daughter off life support even if there's "no long-term hope." TMZ reports that some of the family members don't agree with Bobby but they are going to respect his decision.
On Tuesday, the former New Edition frontman released a statement slamming reports that he was going to remove Bobbi Kristina off life support the same date her mother, Whitney Houston, died in 2012.
"We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended," his attorney, Christopher Brown, told E! Online. "However, the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time."
"In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the U.K.'s Daily Mail citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be first has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy," he added. "This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence."
On Wednesday Bobbi Kristina's aunt said the family was "hopeful" that she was going to recover and added that there's been "so many signs showing us that she will be OK. Krissi is fine."
"It's been very, very painful for everybody. Mainly Bobby, because that's his baby," Leolah Brown told Atlanta's Fox 5 TV station."Krissi is doing well right now."
