Forbes named Angelina Jolie Hollywood's highest paid actress.
The stunning starlet reportedly earned $33 million between June 2012 and June 2013, despite dealing with a major health crisis.
Jolie's most recent projects include acting in "The Tourist" alongside Johnny Depp, directing the war flick "In the Land of Blood and Honey," and starring in Disney's Sleeping Beauty remake "Maleficent," which is set to hit theaters in 2014.
But it's not Jolie's film work that has garnered most of her press attention this year. The 38-year-old made an announcement in a New York Times editorial explaining why she underwent a double mastectomy after learning she had almost an almost 90 percent chance of getting cancer.
"For any woman reading this, I hope it helps you to know you have options," she wrote of the ordeal. "I want to encourage every woman, especially if you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, to seek out the information and medical experts who can help you through this aspect of your life, and to make your own informed choices."
Coming in at No. 2 on the Forbes list is Jennifer Lawrence, who took home $26 million this year. The money is just icing on the cake for the 22-year-old actress, who also took home an Oscar for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook" and starred as Katniss in the huge box office hit, "The Hunger Games."
The third spot belongs to "Twilight" alum Kristin Stewart, who earned $22 million with the help of the final franchise film and the fairytale action hit "Snow White and the Huntsman."
Rounding out the top five are Jennifer Aniston and "The Amazing Spider-Man" star, Emma Stone.
