Belgian police made at least three arrests Saturday related to the brutal terrorist attacks in Paris, according to AM NY. Friday's attacks killed 129 people in multiple locations.
Reports were made of a suspicious black car with Belgian license plates seen near Bataclan early Saturday by French media, and the car was traced back to a rental, bringing about police raids in Brussels, which lead to arrests.
Paris prosecutor Francois Molins announced in a Saturday evening news conference that identical explosive vests were worn by the seven suicide bombers involved in the attacks at six locations around the city, according to Fox News. An eighth attacker was shot and killed by police.
"We can say at this stage of the investigation there was probably three coordinated teams of terrorists behind this barbaric act," said Molins.
French police revealed that one of the suicide bombers, a young Frenchman who was arrested eight times in the past, was under watch for his links with Islamic extremist activities.
Quick arrests in Belgium followed French president Francois Hollande's vow to punish ISIS for the attacks, as French police are hunting for any others involved in the attacks.
"What happened yesterday in Paris and in Saint Denis is an act of war and this country needs to make the right decisions to fight this war," President Hollande said, according to The Miami Herald. "This act committed by the terrorist army, Islamic State, is against who we are, against a free country that speaks to the whole world."
"It is an act of war prepared and planned outside, with outside involvement which this investigation will seek to establish. It is an act of absolute barbarism. France will be ruthless in its response to Islamic State," Hollande added.
