It seems as though Ryan Gosling really is just as fantastic as he appears. Actress Saoirse Ronan sung the praises of the actor at the 2016 Palm Springs International Film Festival over the weekend after he got people to start pronouncing her name correctly.
Ronan explained that Gosling presented her with the New Hollywood Award at the Hollywood Film Awards in November and correctly told the crowd how to pronounce her Irish name. "It's Ser-sha, like inertia," Gosling said. Suddenly after Gosling spoke up, people started pronouncing her name correctly.
"Someone sent me a photo two weeks later of a cinema in Minnesota, and on the sign in the front it said 'Brooklyn' and then underneath it said, 'Ser-sha, Like Inertia,"' Ronan told People. "I couldn't believe it! They actually put it on the front of the cinema, so the power of Ryan Gosling is stronger than anything else."
Gosling previously directed Ronan in his directorial debut film called "Lost River," according to Vanity Fair. The two seemed to form a bond on the set of the film and Ronan even called him "like, Jesus or something, like a blond Canadian Jesus."
Ronan is nominated for a Golden Globe for her work in the "Brooklyn." Check out the entire list of Golden Globe nominees here. The Golden Globe Awards will be hosted by Ricky Gervais and will air Jan. 10 on NBC.
