With the holiday season rapidly approaching all those who prefer to plan ahead and relax in December already have their shopping done. For many it's never too early to start looking for that perfect gift now to avoid the rush when the time comes. Those people may be interested to know some of the rumors about the inevitable release of the next iPhone from Apple, whether they want it for next year's stocking stuffer or to find a nice comfy home in their purse or pocket.
There's no shortage of rumors surrounding Apple's new smartphone, which is rumored to be in development at its Cupertino Calif. headquarters. The main innovation expected to come to the device is would be the inclusion of a larger display screen to help it compete with some of its smartphone competitors at Samsung, with its Galaxy S4 and Note II devices, and HTC. According to sources at Chinese CTECH, reported by 9to5Mac, Apple is currently testing hones that are up to 4.9-inches on the screen. A larger display means more room for apps and gaming.
This is probably true as the company will likely be testing out several variants of the iPhone between now and the 6's unveiling sometime next year. A poll hosted by 9to5Mac shows 43.62 percent of all who took it want a phone that has a display that is 4.6-5-inches with other larger variants than the 4-inch display. The only thing people seemed to overwhelmingly not want is an iPhone phablet above 5-inches, which only gained 6.97 percent of the vote.
Some other popular items floating around the rumor mill that many hope will make their way to the iPhone 6 include a trackpad, stylus support, water and dust resistance and Retina display.
It's worth nothing that all of these features are simply the stuff or rumor at this point as Apple has not even acknowledged the device's existence. Just a few weeks ago Apple saw the launch of its latest flagship smartphone the iPhone 5S along with a new variant in the iPhone 5C.
