Rockstar Games recently released its set of creation tools earlier this month that allows players to create their own races and deathmatches. Now, as promised, Rockstar is beginning to put its stamp of approval on a select number of player-created jobs in "Grand Theft Auto Online."
The jobs were created by players on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will soon be available for both consoles whenever someone logs onto "Grand Theft Auto Online." 10 games have been approved by Rockstar to receive its verified stamp and be available to more players - 6 of them are races and another 4 are new deathmatches. According to IGN, these high-quality jobs can now get more attention from the online community and they become free for all players to use. What's probably the most significant about this is how it will give incentive for other players to create worthwhile games now that Rockstar has proven it is monitoring the best of the best. The Content Creator gives players the chance to have their creation played by GTA Online's millions of players.
Rockstar announced the first batch of ten jobs earlier on Friday. Each one will retain the original name that the creator indented for it, however, Rockstar has noted that it reserves the right to change game names in cases where Rockstar is forced by copyright laws or taste issues.
More jobs will be verified by Rockstar "in the weeks and months ahead." It doesn't look as if it will be having any trouble finding a cop of new jobs and matches to pick from. Players have created more than on million jobs already since the beta version of the Content Creator went live earlier this month.
Have you tried out Rockstar's new Content Creator? How does it handle? Is it intuitive and easy-to-use enough to get you to throw your hat into the ring to be chosen as a Rockstar Verified job? Have you played any of the new player-created games? If so, tell us about them in the comments below.
