UPDATE 1:21 a.m. EST: Police have identified the two slain suspects - a man and a woman - of the mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif. on Wednesday afternoon. They are Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, a U.S. citizen who worked a government job as an environmental health specialist with the San Bernardino County Health Department, and Tashfeen Malik, 27.
Malik's country of origin is unknown, San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said during a televised press conference. Burguan said that the two suspects were involved in some type of a relationship.
Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the shootings, but terrorism was not ruled out, according to ABC7 Chicago.
The incident started when Farook left his employer's holiday party in anger on Wednesday and Burguan said he believes there was at least some planning before the shooting.

A third person connected to the shootings in San Bernardino, Calif. has been detained and is now in police custody. The person was apprehended by authorities in the area where the pursuit came to a halt; however, the person's exact connection to the mass shooting is unclear, the Los Angeles Times reported.
At least 14 people were killed during a mass shooting that took place at the Inland Regional Center located on a block of South Waterman Ave. in the city. Police reported earlier that they were able to locate the suspects linked to the mass shooting that happened on Wednesday afternoon, HNGN previously reported.
Two suspects - a male and a female - were killed during a standoff with the police.
They were each armed with a hand gun and a long gun and wore tactical-style clothing that was "loaded with magazines for a gunfight," said Meredith Davis, a spokesperson with ATF, according to the Associated Press.
A law enforcement official, who was not sanctioned to discuss the ongoing investigation to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity, identified Syed Farook as one of the suspects of the mass shooting.
