It's only been a week since Miranda Lambert confirmed her relationship with Anderson East, but unfortunate circumstances could have the country diva already playing nurse to her new beau, according to a report by Us Weekly. East, a 27-year-old former sound engineer turned musician, broke his collarbone during a ski accident in Aspen over the New Year's holiday. A source said East suffered a nasty fall but his lady love "was there and helped him heal, took him to get treated."
"So it wasn't quite the fun holiday trip they wanted, but they were still happy to be together and he's really happy she was there nursing him by his side and making sure he was OK," a source told Us Weekly.
The couple has reportedly already returned to Nashville.
"He's been in a lot of pain but [is] going to rest and heal up now that they're back home," the source added. "It was still great to be together, happy and in love over the holidays despite the accident, and they are looking forward to a good new year together."
The pair has reportedly been dating for about a month. The "Little Red Wagon" singer posted an Instagram of her snuggling beneath a blanket with East on New Year's Day, with the caption, "The snuggle is real..."
Lambert's first public relationship since she and ex-husband Blake Shelton called it quits last July after four years of marriage. Shelton has since moved on and is dating his "The Voice" co-star Gwen Stefani. While Lambert has been dating for the past few months but "recently starting having eyes for only one guy - that guy being Anderson," a source told E! News.
"Miranda gets butterflies with Anderson. He is a wonderful guy with an amazing personality. Miranda loves his sense of humor and his love for music," the source said. "He thinks she is stunning and is really sweet to her. The attraction is there for both of them."
